A birthday party is a very memorable occasion for a child. They wait in expectation for the day just so that they can immerse themselves in the fun and excitement the day will bring. Therefore, you’ll have to take some time to organise and plan a party so that it’s perfect.
To make sure that the day is memorable, you will need to create something wonderful. Most children’s birthday parties tend to have themes. This is actually a very easy way to plan the whole party. If you choose a great theme at the beginning, you can use it to plan every other aspect of the day around it. For example, you can have decorations that go along with the theme. You will have a certain colour palette that you can stick to. If it is an underwater themed party, you can have shade of blue and patches of colour for all the beautiful aquatic animals you find. You can plan your entertainment around the theme as well by having face painters paint children’s faces in the characters that relate to the theme. So the question arises, how do you choose a theme? You will find that it is easiest to find a theme when you work with your child to find it. It is better when you include your child in the planning process so that they can help you create the best day for them.
They will have their own ideas about what to have at the party. You can listen to what they say and create something around that idea. You can research on the theme together and find out new things about it. You have to consider the age of the child and their interests when you’re looking for a theme. Their interests change as they grow up. Therefore, you will have to look at what they are interested in now at the current moment to see how you can turn it into a theme. This theme can then spill onto the decorations, entertainment such as face painting, invitations, party favours etc. It is best not to have the same theme as what their peers have had. This will create some good variety and your child and his/her friends will have something new to expect. Once your child tells you of certain things that interest them, try to find how you can expand upon them. Maybe there is a cartoon or a movie that they love. Or they have a favourite hobby such as collecting toy cars, swimming, reading books of a favourite author etc. You can even try to find a theme that meshes with their personality. If a child is naturally curious, you can have an adventure themed party where they have a lot of fun activities to engage in such as rock climbing walls.
Public Relations, in its essence, is simply understanding how to maintain a good rapport with the community as a whole. It involves understanding people’s behavior, and using this knowledge beneficially, by manipulating reactions and behavior through manipulation of one’s own actions. In terms of an individual perspective, public relations skills refer mainly to how one carries themselves in public, and also brings into consideration their social skills and interactive skills. It gauges one’s ability to build connections and relationships effectively. From a company’s perspective, it describes how a business maintains a relationship with its consumers, the society and the public as a whole. This relationship in turn affects the company’s promotional strategies for its products, and also plays a part in building brand loyalty through a positive brand image.
Public relations are built through involvement in many events that take place, by making the business’s presence known in a positively influential way. This is done in some cases through sponsorships of events, which could involve carnivals or sporting events, where the business takes the opportunity of milking the promotional opportunity with plenty of material such as posters, custom made stickers and stalls which offer products or services that the business is specialized in offering. Public relations are also built through Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. These include projects that the business undertakes which are for the purpose of maximizing social welfare and benefiting society and the community in some way. These earn goodwill for the company as many of these projects are those which help the less fortunate, or help to minimize a prevailing negative issue in the country. This therefore also helps the company to earn a good image in the eyes of the government, which will provide benefits such as easily granted planning permission, tax holidays etc.Since public relations are a huge part of brand image, it is important that all other aspects of enhancing brand image are also taken into consideration and maintained with the same level of importance and priority.
In addition to the many public relations and corporate social responsibility projects, it is also wise to re-enforce the brand in consumers’ eyes whenever possible, and this is where above the line promotion may come into play. Advertisements will have to be placed, and the company should make sure those even simple elements such as perfect car stickers is considered, as this helps to establish the brand image. This being said, there is no need for a company to spend a heavy portion of its budget on activities such as this. It should be done in moderation, especially if there is no urgent need to build goodwill.
